Finally finished

I finally finished a few things.

Quilt top for the Fair

Hopefully I can get this done in time (have to deliver on the 9th between 3 and 6).

June Doll Quilt

For Cindy in TN.  I call it "Yorkshire Rose".

I've been working on a few things quilt wise.  An Autumn wall hanging, and a doll quilt for a swap.

I also have been running and I had a race on June 1.  It was unholy, hot and humid.  I did not make the time goal I had set for myself.  I finished and I did not throw-up.  So we'll call it successful.

Working on...

I'm working on wall hanging quilts for my son's teacher and one of the parents.  Karner Blue Butterflies figured pretty heavily in curriculum this year, so that is my theme.  Read about them here.

Doll quilts and May for Me

I'm making some doll quilts for the Mrs. Claus project.  1 complete. 1 needs binding.  1 to do today.

 

I ran last night with no dog.  I didn't try to do 2 things at once.  First step in taking care of me.

Almost finished

I have my doll quilt for Lizzie almost done.  I have 3 doll quilts in the works for the Mrs. Claus project and now I am designing a quilt for my son's teacher (end of school year gift).  I'll post pictures when I have something done.

My apologies

My apologies to my quilting and crafting sisters that may read my blog.  I have taken my political commentaries to the local newspaper blogs.  From here on out this blog will be about my home, the woods and wildlfe around me and my crafts.

I am an extremist.

                It must be true.  Governor Cuomo says so.

I have been a liberal democrat my whole life.  I believe in Universal Health Care.  I think government should protect those that can’t protect themselves.  I believe that Halliburton has no place within a thousand miles of my well, which supplies water to my precious family.  I believe in a woman’s right to choose.  I oppose war and other forms of violence.  I believe in public radio and television

But, I am a gun owner.  I live in Upstate NY and I want to keep my guns.  My guns don’t hurt people.  I don’t hurt people.  I am one of millions of law abiding gun owners in New York that oppose Governor Cuomo’s  NY SAFE Act.  I bet there are even a few gun owners that are liberal Democrats, like me.   These millions, that I am a part of, have been labeled extremist by Governor Cuomo.                

I am an extremist like Rachael Carson was an extremist.  I am an extremist like Gloria Steinem is an extremist.  I am an extremist like Ralph Nader is an extremist.    I am an extremist like Big Bird is an extremist.  I am an extremist like Mahtma Ghandi was an extremist.
